Happy Blogiversary To Me: My Year In Review

Posted on

It has now been one year since I started blogging and I couldn’t have asked for a more fun and rewarding experience! I can imagine it will only get better from here!

blogiversary_cheers

I’ve had a chance to connect with other bloggers from around the world, bloggers from around the country and bloggers in my own backyard.

I’ve had a chance to collaborate with names like The Grey ButtonCalypso St. BartheShakti and Fab’rik (more to come on the latter two soon!).

But the best part so far, has been the ability to get more involved in the community and fashion scene in Birmingham.

From Birmingham Fashion Week…

To Seasonal Fashion Previews….

And Public Events… Each experience has helped me grow as a blogger and fashion lover!

My blog can be a self-serving outlet to brag about my favorite deals and steals…

But it’s also been a way to challenge my own spending habits and broaden my own sense of style…Remember “6 Months No Shopping,” anyone?!

The past year has been more fun than I could’ve ever imagined and I just want to thank everyone who takes the time out to read my blog, check out my OOTDs on Instagram, follow my fashion musings on Facebook or flutter by my Twitter feed. I have some new ideas planned for the coming year and I hope you love them as much as I do!

So, am I in full bloom since a year has past? Some have told me I am, but I will always consider myself a work in progress! I hope you continue to follow me on my journey as a budding fashionista.   XOXO

It looks like you’ve had such a fun year!! And I can’t wait to see your eShakti post! They just recently contacted me, but since I write mostly about books, I’m going to do a photo shoot of me dressed as one of my favorite literary characters. It’ll be my first foray into fashion, but your 6 Months No Shopping challenge inspired me because it showed me that I don’t have to have infinite income to look good. So I’m looking forward to branching out of my comfort zone!

sounds so fun! can’t wait to see your post. Yes, eshakti actually contacted me many months ago, but my goal was/is to take the item and style it several ways, just because I’m big on “bang for the buck.” I will be hard-pressed to do a style post showing off what i wore one time. I think there is more of a service to show you much versatility you can get with just one piece! Thanks so much for reading and I’m SO glad you could take something away from my 6 month challenge!
